Galpão Cine Horto is a cultural center founded and directed by Grupo Galpão, in Belo Horizonte/MG. The spot was established in march 1998 and became an important space for fulfilling artistic activity in the city.

In all the projects it undertakes, usually directed towards research, education and stimulating theatrical creation, the spotlight is always on the possibility of uniting and gathering people around the theatre.

Using the setting of a 1950's movie theatre, Galpão Cine Horto has a Multimedia Theatre for 200 spectators, a movie theatre with 80 seats, three classrooms and, since 2006, maintains the Research and Theatre Memory Center, a pioneer setting in Minas Gerais, which offers unpaid access to a library of over 5500 books, CDs and DVDs related to research and preservation of the theatre's memory.

Currently, the Cultural Center offers courses and workshops in artistic education and over a dozen projects for production, creation, promotion, sharing and propagation of the theatre, which benefits artists from Minas, Brazil and foreign countries.
