Galpão Cine Horto is the Cultural Center founded and run by Grupo Galpão in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The center was open in March 1998 and quickly gained importance as a venue for artistic performances with a multimedia theater for 250 people, a movie theater for 80 people, 3 classrooms, a bar and full dressing rooms.
The center focuses on research, teaching and support for theater, developing several projects aimed at bringing together the community around theatrical practice. Besides Oficinão, a free workshop dedicated to young actors and actresses that culminates in a complete production presented during a whole season in Belo Horizonte, Galpão Cine Horto also offers various courses and workshops all year around taught by instructors selected by center. |
