Simone Ordones was born in Divinópolis, Minas Gerais, on March 10, 1963. In 1983 she moved to Belo Horizonte and joined the theater company Oficina de Teatro, directed by Pedro Paulo Cava. A year and a half later, Simone decided to drop out of college to dedicate herself full time to Cava’s company’s productions such as Brecht’s "Galileu Galilei." Her debut as an actress happened in "Diretas, onde já se viu," by Luis Paixão and Luciano Luppi. Simone’s performance in “Diretas, onde já se viu” led to an invitation by Cia. Sonho e Drama to substitute for Cida Falabella in their adaptations of Kafka’s "A metamorfose" and "O processo." Simone Ordones remained in Cia Sonho e Drama for the following ten years, appearing in "Grande sertão: Veredas" (an adaptation of Guimarães Rosa’s novel), Ivana Andrés’ "Vida de cachorro," "A casa do girassol vermelho" (an adaptation from the fiction of Murilo Rubião), and "Caminho da roça," a production based on folk narratives from Minas Gerais. In 1993 she worked as a director for the first time in "O pastelão e a torta." In 1994 Simone Ordones was invited by director Gabriel Villela to be part of the cast in "A rua da amargura." Simone has been with Grupo Galpão ever since, appearing also in the cast of "Um Molière imaginário," "Partido," "Um trem chamado desejo," “Inspector Geral,” and “Um homem é um homem.” In 2006 Simone directed “No baile” written by Eduardo Moreira and Glicério Rosário for Galpão Projeto Pé na Rua. |
