Synopsis

On stage five people await for the end of a solar eclipse. Meanwhile, they discuss human existence and condition, flowing through Russian writer Anton Tchekhov's short stories and philosophy. As the waiting becomes longer and longer, the clash and confrontation of worldviews triggers a series of absurd situations. To make the piece, Galpão's actors looked into the great Russian write's work for reference and philosophical reflections on universal themes that still traverse humans of today. The aesthetic language that permeates the scene elements, such as scenario, costumes, light and sound design, is inspired by the suprematism, Russian movement from the beginning of the XX century, that stood for an Art free from practical purposes, committed to pure plastic visuality.
